Freshest is best and less is many times more....

Beautiful emerald and golden fruit oils, exotic clays and fragrant  --we use only the most luxurious ingredients in our handcrafted body products.  But unlike many luxuries, Botanical Earth products are kind to your family and to the world we live in.  Whether you are allergy sensitive or just wish to find products without the use of phthalates or parabens, Botanical Earth provides healthy alternatives.

The Botanical Earth shop, where all of our products are made, is located halfway between the towns of Troy and Winfield, Missouri off of Highway 47.  We grow a variety of fresh produce for local restaurants and private families along with harvesting many of the herbs used in our products.

Working with growers and distillers directly, gives us a first hand knowledge of exactly how our ingredients are sourced.  Using as many Fair Trade Alliance suppliers as possible, we ensure that our products are truly beneficial to all.

You will not find creams and lotions at this time in our catalog of products - though many ask for them.  As stated on the front page, we do not use synthetic preservatives, such as parabens.  When one adds water to a product, such as with lotions or creams ( up to 70% of the recipe) , an anti-bacterial, anti-fungal preservative must be used to prevent mold and bacteria.  We believe the only  preservatives clinically proven to be safe at this time are synthetic.  Though the preservative is usually only 1-.05% of a recipe, but when Botanical Earth states we use no synthetic preservatives, we stand behind that statement.

Nor will you find glycols to blend the oils and water in our Aromatic Mist Sprays.  Yes, glycols may be naturally sourced, and no, it's not automotive anti-freeze in your product, but it is questionable on how "naturally sourced" glycols in body care products are.  Truly natural care can be inconvenient and an effort (sorry, it's true) , but we believe it is worth shaking a bottle to avoid additional ingredients.
